Ninja Birthday Party

Some people have a special talent for throwing parties. My dearest friends Christina and Mike threw there 2 year old Zeke a party we will all remember.
With a Ninja/Asian theme, bouncer, catering by Panda Express, and the band The Ninja Stars playing SpongeBob songs, I cannot wait until next year to see how they could possibly top that one.

Steveo's book shelf
Oh, I cant wait to read these with Steveo. He really liked the last Frida book we got and was very interested in Van Gogh, and now I am introducing him to Dali. Just trying to nurture his love of art and reading. Now he wants a biography on Stephen Hawking. He's into him for 2 reasons, " he spells Stephen with a PH, and he's the smartest man alive". I'm still not sure if they make one for kids, but its worth looking for one. I guess I will google that today. Whatever it takes to keep him interested in reading.

Bro's

I remember when Nick used to pick flowers for me and I would put them in my hair. When did THAT change? Steveo does it all the time. When will his sweetness fade? It doesn't happen over night. Im holding on tight to what I have left.
Steveo idolizes Nick. Nick gets annoyed by Steveo and I'm left in the middle calmly breaking up fights. It hurts Steveo when Nick ignores him. He tries so hard to impress him. Nick could care less. I know what its like being the younger sibling. Its tough. I remind them often they get one childhood. Don't try to grow up to fast. Recognize what is right in front of you, and celebrate it. No matter what, they will always be brothers and I will not always be around, and the thought of them growing apart shatters my mind. I hope its just a phase Nick is going through, because I could not handle much more attitude from this little man.

Nana Carol and Papa Jim

Every time the boys go to Sean's in Riverside, they get to spend time with Nana Carol and Papa Jim. They live near Joshua Tree. They usually bring the boys home to us, but this time we met them up there instead. Nana Carol works at an animal rescue and let us hang out at the ranch and play with the horses. Some of them were abused, and all except one were friendly and let us pet them. They had one goat, 4 dogs, and a donkey. The donkey had the best personality of all of them. Steveo is a true animal lover. He was gentle with them, and had a lot of fun. Unfortunately, his allergies acted up. Other than that is was so much. I cant wait to do it again. This time we will bring Nick along. (he was staying the night with friends)

grateful

Ive never met another soul that is so giving, so loving, and guarded at the same time. Sometimes he holds back his emotions, the way boys sometimes do. I want to always be there to guard his heart and cushion all the blows that life will throw his way. He is wise beyond his years. He is beautiful inside and out. He is thoughtful, he writes me letters, and hugs me when I least expect it. I hope he stays this way forever, but know how cruel life can be. I want him to be strong, I want him to be happy, and do the right thing. I dont ever want him to lose sight of who he is.
I am so truly grateful to have my sons.
